Fans of This Morning blasted a mother who openly admitted she had a favourite of her four children – and they know it too.
Alisha Tierney-March, 32, said her favourite child is her third daughter, Kennedie, aged 2, and that her elder children Addison, nine, and Harleigh, seven, are aware of it.
She also has a young son Elijah, aged one, but she said though she prefers Kennedie, she loves each of her children equally.
For Alisha, she said the age gap between Kennedie and Harleigh led to this preference, as she bonded with Kennedie more and got more time to breast feed her, which she wasn’t able to do with the others.
She even admitted Harleigh was originally her favourite as she was a budding gymnast, saying she paid out “what we would pay on a small mortgage” so she could take part in training.
Alisha said: “The others have noticed this – whether they believe it is another story.
“One might say, ‘you don’t like us because you won’t let us walk to town on our own’ but you’re only nine years old.
“I don’t think I’ll have done them any damage as they don’t see it as a big deal.”
Holly and Phil could not believe their ears, and after Alisha suggested the favourite could change, Holly called her a “fickle mother.”
Fans reacted in a similar way to the hosts, and couldn’t believe that she would be so open with her favouritism.
Alisha also said she was quite upset when her youngest child was born, as she was shocked that he was a boy.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV.
