Khloe Kardashian saw her world turned upside down when the father of her first ever child stood accused of multiple cheating allegations against just days before her due date.
The 33-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star fell pregnant with her first ever child, a girl, with 27-year-old basketball star Tristan Thompson.
Their proposed perfect life included Khloe upping sticks from California to live with him in Cleveland, Ohio, but their blissful set up was rocked when multiple women claimed they had kissed and even slept with Tristan while Khloe was pregnant with their child.
However, when it comes to dealing with scandal, drama or even pregnancies, it would seem the Kardashian family have a rather concrete approach on how to deal with things…
Ignoring all requests from the media
Anyone who has ever had the pleasure/misfortune of having to report all things Kardashians will know that their press team rarely respond to requests for the truth.
You can call and email to ask questions like: “Is Khloe’s relationship with Tristan over?” or “Is Kylie Jenner really pregnant?” or “Have Kim and Kanye decided to have a baby via a surrogate” and the response is the same – stony silence.
The truth usually gets revealed eventually – and usually to tie in with a new series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians (remember the time Kim FINALLY talked about that horrifying gunpoint robbery in Paris once cameras were rolling again), and their PR team can usually be relied on to ignore all requests for information as well.
Unfollowing the ‘villain’ of the situation
If a Kardashian has been wronged, you can almost guarantee they will confirm drama in a subtle, yet screamingly obvious way – a social media freeze-out.
When rumours that Tristan Thomas had done the nasty with another woman behind pregnant Khloe’s back, there was silence on the topic from all members of the Kardashian klan.
But after a few days of constant headlines about the state of Khloe and Tristan’s relationship amid the cheating claims, all members of the Kardashian-Jenner family unfollower the sport star on Instagram in a clear sign he was no longer a friend.
Returning to social media like nothing has happened
While unfollowing enemies on social media is not a new move for the Kardashian clan (Kim unfollowed Selena Gomez amid allegations she was angered the singer had sided with Taylor Swift in their huge feud, and Rob unfollowed Blac Chyna following the collapse of their romance) – pretending nothing is wrong is also a standard response.
The reality star family seemed to be keeping a united silence in the days following the scandal, but Kim was the first to make a return to her online life by posting a snap herself alongside big sister Kourtney and their friend Noel Crawley on Instagram – with the act leaving many Kardashian fans dismayed.
The sex tape star neglected to mention Khloe, Tristan or the scandal with many bemused as to how she could carry on like everything was normal amid high speculation her sister was in turmoil.
Relying on Kris Jenner to sort out the mess
When things go south for any member of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings, there is one person who they can all rely on to help put their lives back together again – their mother.
When Kim was distraught that a magazine published naked photos of her, Kris Jenner was there to pick up the pieces and tell her to “own” the situation (there are also persistent rumours that Kris was the mastermind behind Kim’s sex tape becoming global news and thus kickstarting the family’s fame as reality stars).
And indeed within hours of Khloe and Tristan’s cheat scandal breaking, rumours were rife the wronged star planned to move back in with Kris to rebuild her life.
